Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No. 1
1) For my product, the practicality only really applies to one segment of society: drivers. If you aren't a driver, then this product wouldn't be useful to you at all, unless purchased as a gift for a driver.
2)
3) The need awareness for this product, unfortunately, tends to arise only after the problem has occurred. It is when a driver spills his or her drink in the car when turning too quickly or an abrupt motion causes the cup to spill.
4) The first thing they do to fix this problem is usually just not bringing a drink at all in the car. Often, it is fixed by getting a new mug that fits their existing cupholder, or holding a drink in between their legs (which is even less safe). If they were to google a solution, it would be 'car cupholder'.
5) I found that the people I interviewed all had this issue but did not tend to do anything to address it because it was either too annoying to fix it or they felt their solutions were sufficient.
6) I would describe this segment as one that is largely not tapped into, especially for a product like my own. There are plenty of car accessories on the market, but very few with the true utility that mine has.

I think that it would have been helpful to your post if you included information about your interviews. Also, for the sixth part you said how your product has more utility than other products on the market. I think that it would have been useful to explain how exactly your product is different and a more useful utility than every other product on the market. Overall I think if you put a little more effort into this post, it would probably be useful in the long run for your product and for this class.
